  I am helping my dad plan a Travel themed 60th birthday party for my step mom.  I would really love to have any old maps, globes, travel posters or travel picture books that you have.

  I am planning on using them for decor and other items.

  Have you tried looking online or visiting any antique stores? There are different websites online where you can purchase some of these types items. Good luck in your search

  I've bought cool old maps cheap on ebay for my Cousin who collects. I've also gotten travel posters from Foriegn Embassies , got great ones from Italy for an artist show we had where I worked. And from Travel Agencies if they had old ones. I'm going to look for the Italy ones...I think I still have them.

  Well that was easier than I thought. I have 6-8 posters with beautiful photos of Italy, art, beaches, buildings and such, that say "Italia" on them.
  
  You could have them if you want. PM me and I'll get them to hubby's shop so you can pick them up.

  thanks for your responses.  At this point, I am hoping to find old travel brochures, maps and posters that someone just had stuffed in a drawer or whatever and wanted to give an good home to.

  I have plenty of time, the party is not until the beginning of May, but I want to put out "feelers" now, to try to keep the costs down by finding others leftovers.

  Hubby took the posters to the shop yesterday Meagan. They'll be there for you. Hope the party is fantastic!
