  has anyone heard of the black bear opening up in elk grove?? it would be great if they did and at the old marie calenders.

  I'm actually sitting at one right now in Reno, one of our favorite places. Great large breakfasts, fun interior designs...strong recommend....kind of like a niche down home restaurant..sent many emails to their real estate contact when I heard Marie Calenders was closing...I agree that would be a great location....we waited 45 minutes to get i just looked at the front and it is still packed to get in

  there is one in Natomas.....Only been there once, I would go again. Would be a great family place for EG.....another vote for the vacant MC location

  Black Bear Diners are one of my favorite places to eat. High quality ingredients as well as quantity. (They serve your meal on a platter style plate). The orange juice is fresh squeezed on the premises. I've eaten at many of them including Natomas, Rohnert Park, Reno, Redding, Strawberry, Las Vegas, and others and the quality and consistency is always top grade and consistent. The prices are extremely reasonable. For the most part, you can choose any breakfast, lunch, or dinner items anytime during their open hours. It would be a great addition to the community to see one of these restaurants open up in Elk Grove.

  It's a nice place, sit down wait service--no order at the counter. Good because they do breakfast. There is one in Davis.

  Love Black Bear Diner, would totally support one if it came to this area. When I was a working person I had to stay in Susanville for work and went to that Black Bear Diner at least 1 meal a day as I was staying in a hotel 5 days a week and was forced to eat ALL of my meals out. I also mostly had the breakfast, they could put most other places to shame!!

  Black Bear's really good, a lot of options, would love one here in Elk Grove. : )
