She's not my dog, but I wanted to thank you for taking care of her. At least, I assume you have picked her up and are caring for her. How does she look? Does she look well cared for? I hope the owners can be found and reunited. :-)

She looks real healthy, very happy dog. She may have had puppies in the last 6 months. Because she is so sweet and trained I believe she came from a happy household. We aready have two little lap dogs and 4 cats so we can't bring her inside, but she has a warm bed, food and treats in our garage. She hasn't had in accidents in the garage and knows to go when we take her in the backyard. We put up more flyers today and have emailed a few pitbull rescue shelters that are local. My hopes are her family went out of town and do not realize she is gone and will see our signs when they get home. Thanks for your concern, if you have any more you can think of for us to do we would appreciate the help.

She is not inside; she stays in the garage (with lots of blankets, food and treats) when she does go in the backyard she sees the cats and attacks the sliding glass door, so I don't think she wants to be their friend. I have received two close phone calls but nothing yet. I am getting worried because I don't know what else to do

Yes, sadly she was not. We have started looking for a home for her now. So if you know of anyone, please let me know. She deserves a good home and family.

You might want to check with Chako the Pit Bull local rescue. If you could foster her for a period of time, they can help find a home for her. http://www.chako.org/
I have a pit bull and she is my love! Super sweet and very good with my kids.

If anyone can help with this dog and give her a happy home, we will take care of all vaccines (neuter her if you wish) and microchip her. She is so sweet and deserves a good home, the vet says she may have mastif in her. I can not bring myself to take her to the shelter for fear they may but her down. If you want a pic or are interested you can text me at 916-801-8758

I hope you find a home for her. She sounds sweet. The longer you can keep her out of the shelter the better. Although I do think Bradshaw and Sac City are fairly pit friendly, it's still really hard for the dogs to be there and their chances are much less but perhaps you can check with Chako or Bradshaw or even PetSmart or PetCo if they will be having or know of any adoption events you could bring her too. I know it's all a lot of work but it appears you have a big heart and are doing all the right things!

It's a long shot, but maybe you can contact Grace Foundation. Their main focus is rescuing horses....sadly, they lost a horse (see other thread for info on that). I know they rescue dogs and cats from shelters that are about to be put down and then find homes for them. I don't know if they will be able to take this dog in, but it couldn't hurt to ask. http://www.thegracefoundationofnorcal.org/

Did you try the Dog Spot? They may be able to find another foster home for her until she is adopted. There are way too many pitt bulls at the shelters already. They do not get adopted very readily. I think if you take her to the shelter she would likely get put down. :-(

what is the status on the dog? I called you the other night and haven't heard back from you. My brother in law is looking for another pittie. I'd love to get a picture of her to show to him. If I need to call you again, please let me know. Thanks!

We found her a home, but it didn't work out, so we found a family in the bay area that have taken her. Although they love her, they are having a hard time transitioning her. We have received some help from a professional so I am very optimistic. I am so sorry if we did not return your call.

No worries. I hope the dog transitions well. Depending on where in the Bay Area, maybe the BAD RAP organization can provide tips for them. :-)

That is the group that helped tremendously with some of the Vick dogs and did a great job and they are so loving and know what to do to help.
