I was wondering if anyone has any information regarding this subject, ie. good informational websites, personal experiences, community outreach programs/ non profit organizations, info. regarding devices, incl. pros and cons, etc. I am just beginning my research so any help would be greatly appreciated. We are currently in the beginning stages of hearing impairment diagnosis and I'd like to be more informed, especially within local resources. Thank you in advance.

Just wondering what the heck was going on. There was tape across some trees and some officers were looking at the sidewalk (of course I was paying attention to my driving!!!) I hope someone didn't get hit! Any information???

Anyway, I thought I'd come on here and see what other's might remember. Some things just made me laugh, some were just memories. I'm not looking for anyone to talk about how thing's were "better", just things you might remember and it might bring a smile to me (or others)
I rememebered thing's like the McDonalds on EG BLVD used to be surrounded by a field and people used to ride thier ATV's around. I remember the fire house on EG Blvd used to have a loud horn that blew for emergencies (like 1 for small ones and 4 for a big fire). I remember (I thing it was a "Regal") gas station where the library is now. I rememeber a poster my father had for EG and it was one or two snow skier's in a field in front of the (Van Gas) propane tanks out by the freeway (dont know what the poster was for?) I remember Clois Yarborough (hope I spelled his name correctly, RIP) and getting my haircut as a kid i... less

I recently was a vendor at the Western Festival selling my home sewn aprons and someone wanted to give me a credit card for which I did not have access to. The friend that was with her suggested going online to my phone and download an app called "Square", so I did the research and downloaded it, sent away for the FREE card reader (only about an inch in size and fits right onto my cell phone) and within a week I had it. It only charges 2.75% of your purchase to use it which to me is no big deal, I can just adjust my prices. But WOW, this modern technology is just amazing. I went to a clients office the other day to do a notary and used my SQUARE reader and it was wonderful. The money was deposited into my account that very evening. Anyone ever use this and have issues? Before I fall more in love with this little gadget, I would love to know if anyone has used it before and had nightmares.
